Isis was the first daughter of Nut who was the earth’s god and Geb who was the sky’s goddess, and she was the sister of Osiris the ruler of the underworld who also became her husband later, they gave birth to their son who is the famous Horus who is the protector of the pharaoh. There is a famous story of Isis and Osiris, that Seth the brother of Osiris, was so jealous of him that he killed him and scattered his body parts all over Egypt, Isis was so in love with Osiris and was so dedicated to finding her husband that the other deities were impressed of her loyalty and dedication towards her husband, so they helped her in reviving him back to life.

Isis possessed many different powers, she was the bringer of magic, and she was also the protector of the women, and it was also believed that she had the power to control fate itself. With all of the powers that Isis had, that made her very important to the Egyptians, Isis was often shown wearing a throne on her head. Isis was also known as the goddess of motherhood and was referred to be the mother goddess, as Isis represents the maternal spirit in the purest form ever, she was considered as the divine life-giver and is known to be as the mother of one of the most powerful and competent gods, so she was being considered as the mother of all the pharaohs and entire Egypt. Isis was also known for offering a lot of knowledge to the Egyptians, as she offered the knowledge of cultivation and the importance of growing along the Nile river.
